Teaching & Outreach
Teaching Experience
I am currently a Teaching Assistant for the Introductory Astronomy Lab at Vanderbilt University, responsible for a weekly 3.5 hour laboratory session and grading. In the summer of 2023, I worked for the EXPLO Pre-College Program as an Instructor for the Soft Robotics Elective, writing curriculum and assisting students through the assembling and programming of a soft robotic gripper, as well as a Teaching Assistant for all STEM courses and a Residential Advisor.
Outreach
At Denison University, I was highly involved with the Society of Physics Students (SPS) and their yearly outreach event, engaging the Granville Elementary second-graders with physics demonstrations within the classroom and planetarium. I was also briefly involved with the Go-Baby-Go Mobility Program, brought to Denison by Dr. Wes Walter, which uses electronics to modify toy cars such that mobility impaired infants and toddlers have a means for exploration.
